The 1965 GT350 Mustangs just had the standard step plate label with the black Ford oval, just like all of the Mustangs.
Being with the 1966 GT350’s, a special sill plate label was added to the step plate for some additional branding.
These are available in aluminum and embossed just like the originals

This Fuel Pump Filter Canister is not unique to the Carryover 1966 Shelbys, but it is a very nice part and detail to add during a restoration.
This canister was originally installed on all ’65 Mustangs with the canister style fuel pump. This included the Carryover GT350’s.
This canister features the correct double ribbing, white paint and red silkscreen. The silkscreen has the the wording, font and FoMoCo logo to match the original.

Back Up Lights were optional on all 1965 Mustangs. None of the 1965 GT350 Mustangs were equipped with back up lights. This included the first 252 Carryover GT350’s also-they did not have back up lights.
Strangely enough, Ford installed a different wiring harness in these Mustangs and Shelbys without back up lights. It just did not include the back up light wiring feed in the wiring loom. This wiring harness is now available from Virginia Classic Mustang. This harness features the correct color wires, connectors and wrapping loom.
The Carryover GT350 Shelbys were ordered with the gauge package that was used on the ’65 GT equipped Mustangs and the Mustangs equipped with Deluxe “Pony” interior.
This package included a wiring harness that accommodated the five gauge instrument panel rather than the Falcon style long speedometer found in the rest of the ’65 Mustangs.
The Instrument Bezel was a bit unique in that it was only used on this model. It is similar to the one used in all 1966 Mustangs, but with a few different details.
